Seven Facts

7 Facts that the God who is nice to you wants you know

1.      God is good to you

James 1:16-7

“16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 p Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, q with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

Every good thing you have right now is the gift that God has given you: Your health, your family, your achievements, your job, your wealth, your loved ones and etc are all the gift that God has given you. You might ask, “Why is God so nice to me?”

2. He loves you

God is good to you because He loves you. You, who has no prototype , are fearfully and wonderful created by Him.

Isa 49:16

16 See, y I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; . . .”

Your life may not show that you really love God. You might even don’t care about God at all, but still He loves you.

Romans 5:8

“8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

What Jesus did for you on the cross is a perfect proof of the love of God towards you. You might ask his intention for being nice to you; seeing all the good things he has done for you.  You might also ask , “What more God will give me? What does he want me to do?”

3. He wants you to turn away from sinning

No one needs to tell us our sinful nature. We all have inclination to sin and we have sinned. So, we need to repent of our sins; asking forgiveness from God, and be willing to turn away from living a sinful-life-style.

Acts 3:26

26 “To you e first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, f in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

Proverb 28:13

13 k He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy

4. He wants to empower you

God is not demanding or asking you to do what you can not do. He is not asking you to leave the life of sin by your own strength but by his grace and power.

Titus 2:11-13

“11 For g the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

13 h looking for the blessed i hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 j who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed k and purify for Himself l His own special people, zealous for good works.”

One thing is true, you can be saved by believing in the works of Christ; you can not be saved by good works, but by believing in the good work of Jesus on the cross. God does not ask you to work for your salvation. But he ask you to have a good deed because He has saved you. That means: You are saved not by good works but for good works.

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 o For by grace you have been saved p through faith, and that not of yourselves; q it is the gift of God, 9 not of r works, lest anyone should s boast. 10 For we are t His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

5. He wants you to open up your heart for Him

Knowing God loves you, and recognizing that he has been helping you so far is not enough.  He wants you to have intimate relationship with him. So, he is asking you to open up your heart so that He can come and live in your heart.

He doesn’t force you but He is asking you to receive Him willingly.

In asking permission to come to your heart Jesus said this:

20 “Behold, s I stand at the door and knock. t If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, u I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)

6. He wants to give you the forgiveness of your sins

The reason why Jesus is asking you to come into your life is to give you forgiveness of sin. He will wash away your sin by His precious blood. All you need to do is ask .

1 John 1:7,9

“ . . . and  the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. . . 9 If we  confess our sins, He is  faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to  cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 For He says:

c “In an acceptable time I have heard you,

And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” 1

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”
